Another Favorite

Everyone knows I love shooting pregnant women. I think pregnancy is when a woman is at her best. While being pregnant you’re tired, irritable and feeling fat but, there’s still a magnificent glow that illuminates from within. Pregnant women have evolved so much; they’re now looked at as being strong, beautiful, sexy, confident, and fashionable. The woman in this photo exudes all of those qualities and so much more! Every time I see her, she looks fantastic with or without makeup. She has a beautiful family that I’ve had the opportunity to shoot numerous times. I was blessed earlier this year with the good fortune of going to California to share her birthday with her and her family (it was a surprise from her wonderful husband). There are so many words I can use to describe this woman. So I’ll just leave it at this, she is simply the best!

Thank you for being such a blessing in my life. Love you girl!

Trendy, hip, young couple

Most of my business has been through word of mouth. I met this family through my best friend’s brother in-law. They checked out my website and called me to do their family portraits. They have a beautiful 3 month old baby who I like to call little “M”. He has the biggest beautiful brown eyes. Little “M’s” mom and I really had a connection. Being a mom myself I know it’s difficult to go back to work after having a beautiful baby.  Mom(Y) also has a love for photography, which made it more fun to work with her. We talked a lot about photography and being a new mommy. I enjoy sharing knowledge and my experiences with my clients because I believe the more knowledge I share, the more knowledge God gives me back. I had a great time shooting this trendy, hip, young couple. Check them out!

Volleyball Girls are Beautiful 2

“T” is a phenomenal outside hitter on my daughter’s volleyball team. She has an awesome swing. “T” made the all tournament team at nationals this year. She is an exceptional player. Since I started this series on volleyball, I’ve had a blast with these girls. They’re much more mature than I was at that age. I think I was still playing with Barbie’s at 16. I think girls who play sports are more well rounded. They’re more confident and secure with themselves.  I had a great time with “T”. I’m still amazed at the way these girls handle themselves in front of the camera. She worked it. Way to go T!

Model Kids

Kids are always so much fun to shoot. Most times they’re not paying attention to the camera. If I play with them, and find out what’s on their mind, they warm up to me. Photographing a child model is a little different. It doesn’t take much coaxing to get to them to warm up. They’re already warm. Usually when you show up, they are more than ready to talk to you. As a matter of fact, they want to entertain you. They make you laugh hysterically. The two children my post is about, are child models. They are so funny. We had a blast. I’m normally the one making everyone laugh. But these two turned the tables. Their mom is a very famous commercial photographer. She’s shot Diddy, McDreamy(Patrick Dempsey) and countless others. She’s published in Jezebel, InStyle, you name it. If you’ve thumb through a magazine, you’ve probably seen her work. Imagine how I felt when she asked me to shoot her kids! I was so flattered. These kids have so much personality. It was a pleasure. Thank you Lisa!

Volleyball Girls are Beautiful

So I had a session with one of my daughter’s teammates. I personally think that we had the most beautiful team in the league. All the girls have their own unique look. They all had a lot in common. They are all really really good kids. They’re smart, respectful and loyal. And they all had a strong sense of camaraderie. We had a phenomenal coach also. I’d have to say this year was one of the best, and the parents were amazing. We all got along. We made some friends, and we had a great time all year. Volleyball is very demanding. You’re with these people pretty much every weekend, and I’m so thankful I loved these parents. It was so great. So I’m gonna post pics from my session with K. She was such a natural in front of the camera. She wasn’t shy. She moved so fluidly. I asked her if she’d been watching America’s Next Top Model, and of course she had. She’s beautiful. I can’t wait to shoot her again. Here she is!  Go Thunder!

Did I mention the girl in my header wearing jean shorts is a volleyballer too?  Told you volleyball girls are beautiful. I’m posting her soon.
