Meet E & C — these are one of my favorite children models. I have taken photos of them before and they are always such a joy to work with. As you can see, E, is a fantastic guitar player. One of these days, I’m going to have front row seats for his concert. C is the youngest and he is so full of energy. I just love working with them. They’re naturals in front of the camera. Check out the tantalizing eyes on both of these kids. I’m in love with them! And of course, I love their parents too. They always feed me whenever I go there. Well, as they say, the way to a photographers heart is through their stomach, wait, did I get that right? Anyway, great models and food always inspire me! Hope you enjoy these photos.
If you ever need a great photographer to do marvelous photos of you and your children, I’m available. And you don’t have to feed me! I promise. 🙂

I believe that when you surround yourself with the best people, nothing but only good things will happen to you. This is why I have no one but the BEST people in my team — Marcus Geeter, my make-up artist, Crystal Savage, my hair stylist and Maria Garcia, my clothing stylist.
Anyway, me and my phenomenal team’s latest photo shoot project was of none other than, Mrs. Devin Hester herself. This is not the first time I’ve taken photos of her. I’ve also taken a picture of her wonderful family in the past. Aside for Mrs. Hester’s obvious beauty, she has a wonderful sense of humor, which is why we always have a blast during our photo shoot. These photos were shot at their beautiful estate. It was just absolutely gorgeous and stunning. Oh how I wish I could move in.
I tell you, I must be one of the happiest women in the world right now. I love that God has given me the talent to do what I do. I love my job — because aside for taking photos of wonderful people, I get to play with makeup, hair and fashion too. Every woman’s dream! I thank God every day for the wonderful people I have in my life and awesome career he has given.

Finally a post. I found you on FB and I’ve been following you ever since. You never disappoint. Mrs. Hester is beautiful. Is she a model? I’d love to read more about her and your session. You managed to do it again. Nice job Sonya.
She is fine!
Love your work.
She is so beautiful. It’s nice to see the women behind the players.
Wow! Very pretty. You do nice work.
lets talk because so far your sounding like you climbed so you have experience in recognizing the difference. talk to you. have a great day.
Very good written story. It will be supportive to anyone who usess it, as well as yours truly :). Keep doing what you are doing – i will definitely read more posts.
I think it’s OK if I say here’s a picture of my most favorite volleyball player, my daughter. I know I haven’t posted any pictures of her in the past but all you photographers out there know that it’s very hard to shoot pictures of your own children. For some reason they don’t listen like other children do. So to avoid what could be a frustrating experience on both my part and theirs, we just don’t take the picture! {period}
However, this time was different. My daughter wanted me to take a picture of her with her new car. She just turned 16, got her license, and is now driving. I guess that’s good enough milestone and warrants a celebration huh?! And a picture of her taken by me, completes this wonderful occasion. I love you T and I’m so proud of you! Now drive carefully and no texting while driving and this goes to all of you out there…. {wink}

Gosh T! I don’t know why you don’t want your pictures taken, you’re gorgeous girl! Love the wheels and your shoes! Drive safe! 🙂
Sonya your daughter is beautiful. Congrats on the new car. Lucky girl!
I was very impressed with this group. Real Life 101 was founded in 2000 with the initial attempt to help inner city residents find jobs. A scholarship fund was then set up to provide financial assistance for inner city students to assist them in attaining higher education.
What was so impressive with this group is that, unlike most scholarship funds that are geared towards students that meet certain GPA or are in specific course of study, Real Life 101 scholarship fund is available to students that want to attend college but are having financial difficulties. Aside for financial assistance, each student also gets a laptop computer and is assigned a personal mentor. The mentor helps these young black men get into college, they teach them to respect women, to get a job and to be the man that God intended them to be. Their mission is to create a better life for these young adults.
To date, Real Life 101 has awarded more than 650 laptop computers to high school graduates and with the 2010/2011 school year over $600,000.00 in scholarship funds. They have more than 125 dedicated professionals who serve as mentors to program participants in the Mentor Program.
Mr. Taylor started with one school in Detroit back in 2000. Their goal is to have one inner city school in a major city in each state. Read more about the fascinating story of this man who so lovingly gave back to his community and about how Real Life 101 Scholarship Fund began.
